Partnership Grows With New Community Garden Fence

A newly installed fence at M.V. Beattie Elementary reflects another step forward in a partnership focused on strengthening food security, environmental stewardship and community connection. The collaboration between Enderby Community Garden Society, M.V. Beattie Elementary, and K̓wsaltktnéws ne Secwepemcúl’ecw (SD 83) aims to create a space where students, families, and community members can learn and grow together. Plans include 16 garden plots for community, a learning garden for students, and eventually a food forest and pollinator gardens that will support both education and local ecology.

Earlier this month, wood shop materials were delivered to A.L. Fortune, where students in Mr. Wagstaff's shop class will be building beds from wood donated by Canoe Forest Products and delivered by crane by Evans Holdings.
